USA Flight Club Pilot Handbook
Welcome to USA Flight Club, the premier virtual airline for flight simulation enthusiasts. This handbook is designed to guide you through everything you need to know as a pilot, from joining the airline to operating flights, using ACARS, and understanding policies.
Getting Started
Before flying, all new pilots must create a profile and familiarize themselves with the airline systems. This includes ACARS setup, creating a valid pilot ID, and reading the participation rules.
- Register your pilot account on USA Flight Club.
- Obtain your API key for ACARS integration.
- Review the Participation Rules.
Flight Operations
Flight operations must follow realistic procedures. Each pilot is responsible for correct planning, aircraft selection, and logging flights properly.
- Plan your route according to the flight schedule or free flight options.
- Log your flight time accurately in ACARS or manually if needed.
- Follow all pre-flight and post-flight checklists.
Air Traffic & Communication
Pilots are expected to follow standard communication procedures on virtual networks like VATSIM, IVAO, or in multiplayer sessions.
- Use proper ATC phraseology when applicable.
- Monitor ATIS/ATC frequencies and follow instructions.
- Maintain separation and safe operations at all times.
ACARS Operations
The ACARS system is your primary tool for flight logging and communication with the airline. Make sure it is installed and configured correctly.
- Download the ACARS client from the official guide.
- Enter your airline URL and API key in ACARS.
- Submit PIREPs automatically or manually if needed.
- Track flight progress in real time.
Ranks and Progression
Pilots advance through ranks based on flight hours, activity, and adherence to airline procedures. Rank unlocks additional aircraft types and flight options.
- Hours flown contribute to rank progression.
- Demonstrated professionalism and consistency is rewarded.
- Higher ranks allow access to advanced aircraft.

- Correct aircraft selected and configured.
- Departure and arrival airports confirmed.
- Payload and passengers entered correctly.
- Aircraft powered off at the gate before start.
During Flight
