About The Tour:
This 25-leg general aviation adventure takes you on an unforgettable journey across Australia, showcasing the country’s incredible diversity from the air. Beginning in the iconic harbor city of Sydney, the route follows the stunning east coast northbound, passing golden beaches, rugged cliffs, and vibrant coastal cities before reaching the tropical waters of the Great Barrier Reef.
From Cairns, the tour turns inland, crossing remote Gulf Country and into the vast, rugged landscapes of the Australian Outback. Pilots will experience dramatic terrain changes—from lush green coastlines to dry savanna and deep red desert—highlighting the true scale of the continent.
The journey continues through the heart of Australia’s Red Centre, including a must-see flyover of Uluru, before heading south into South Australia’s desert and wine regions. After looping through Adelaide, Melbourne, and Canberra, the tour pushes back into the interior, following a challenging and rewarding inland route toward Queensland’s remote towns.
The final stages deliver a true bush-flying experience, culminating in a long-haul push to Darwin in Australia’s tropical Top End. A bonus extension to Gove offers breathtaking views of Arnhem Land’s untouched coastline before returning to Darwin to complete the tour.
Designed for general aviation aircraft, each leg averages around 200–280 nautical miles, making it ideal for aircraft like the Cessna 172, DA40, or Bonanza. This tour blends scenic VFR flying, navigation challenges, and iconic landmarks into one cohesive Australian flying experience.
