About The Tour:
Discover the hidden beauty of America’s Midwest on this immersive general aviation journey across lakes, rivers, forests, and plains. Departing from the legendary Oshkosh, home of EAA AirVenture, this tour takes you along the shores of Lake Michigan, across the iconic Mackinac Island, and deep into Michigan’s rugged Upper Peninsula.
Follow winding coastlines and vast inland waterways before heading south through the industrial skylines of Chicago and Detroit, then into the rolling farmland and river valleys of Ohio, Indiana, and Illinois. Track the mighty Mississippi River past St. Louis and its towering Gateway Arch, then continue west into the wide-open plains and the scenic Ozarks surrounding the Lake of the Ozarks.
As the journey unfolds, experience a diverse range of flying—from tight island approaches and shoreline navigation to long cross-country legs over America’s agricultural heartland.
