About The Tour:
This 17-leg journey takes you on a complete cross-country adventure through Sweden, starting in the busy airspace of Stockholm and ending deep inside the Arctic Circle at Kiruna. Designed for VFR flying, the route showcases Sweden’s diverse landscapes—from coastal archipelagos and farmland in the south to dense forests, vast lakes, and remote northern wilderness.
The tour begins with short, relaxed legs through southern Sweden, passing cities like Norrköping, Jönköping, and Gothenburg. You’ll follow the scenic west and south coasts before crossing to the Baltic side, including a memorable flight over the Öland region.
As you progress north, civilization gradually fades into endless forests and rivers. The route transitions smoothly along the Gulf of Bothnia coastline before turning inland toward more rugged terrain. Each leg is carefully structured to avoid repetition and maintain a natural geographic flow.
The final stages deliver a true expedition feel, with long stretches of untouched wilderness leading to the dramatic landscapes of northern Sweden. The tour concludes in Kiruna, surrounded by mountains and Arctic tundra—best experienced under low sun angles or winter lighting for maximum atmosphere.
