About The Tour:
The Texas & Southwest USA Tour is a diverse, multi-leg journey designed to showcase some of the most dramatic landscapes and unique flying environments in the United States. This route takes pilots from the high deserts of New Mexico and the Rocky Mountains of Colorado through the red rock canyons of Utah and Arizona, before transitioning into the vast open spaces and vibrant cities of Texas and the Gulf Coast.
With a continuous, non-reversing route and no repeated airports, each leg offers a new and engaging experience. Pilots will encounter high-elevation mountain airports, desert terrain, canyon flying, and long coastal approaches, creating a well-balanced and immersive cross-country adventure.
Tour highlights include:
High-altitude operations in Colorado’s Rocky Mountains
Scenic canyon flying near Moab and the Grand Canyon
Desert landscapes across Arizona and New Mexico
West Texas and Big Bend’s wide open terrain
